CV Rags is a textile recycling outfilt in the heartland of Glasgow, Scotland. We pride ourselves for being able to work in line with the European Union Council Directives(1999), which centres on diverting wastes from landfills. We have helped businesses in other parts of the world, and have been able to make a little profit from working to improve the environment.Since our inception, we have managed to divert millions of tonnes of clothes, shoes and bags from ending up in landfills and be given a new lease of life.
Monies raised by CV Rags when we collect and sell reclaimed shoes, clothings and bags help in sparing our landfills from unnecessary burdens. They also help in funding sustainable development projects in the Third World of Africa and Asia. |

CV Rags Limited invloves in the export of clothings, bags and shoes from British homes, charities and public authorities. The collected materials are processed in a clean and safe environment before being shipped out to their final destinations. When necessary, fumigation is conducted on the clothings to ensure that the new users have high quality clothes, shoes and bags in the Third World, where they are in high supply.
These clothings, shoes and bags are offered at a very affordable price in the receiving countries, where they are in a very high demand.They are stacked in bales, which are shipped in containers, to different Third World destinations, such as Pakistan, India, China, Nigeria, Togo,Benin Reublic and Ghana, to mention but a few.
This activity not only helps to ease the severe pressure on British landfills, but also helps to create a new form of lucrative industry in which people in the poorest parts of the world have been offered a new way of ensuring sustainable development, in an otherwise, very depressing and austere economic environment.

How It Works All you and the pupils have to do is bring in bags of unwanted clothing,shoes,bags and toys. We will pick the bags up on an agreed date and time,weigh them and pay the school by the kilo. |
